Stopping North Korea Weapons Proliferation Now!
Pyongyang's bellicose words provide all the legal justification we need to interdict its ships.
At this moment the Kang Nam, a North Korean tramp freighter, is on the high seas tailed by a team of American destroyers and submarines and watched by reconnaissance satellites and aircraft. The vessel had cleared the Taiwan Strait at the end of last week as it headed south. Yesterday, it was reported to have turned back north toward the Chinese coast. On board, its cargo could contain plutonium pellets, missile parts or semi-ripe melons. In any event, Washington wants to know what is in the rusty ship's hold.

Why the interest in this particular vessel? The Kang Nam is a "repeat offender" and known to carry "proliferation materials." As an unnamed American official told Fox News this month, "This ship is presumed to be carrying something illicit given its past history." United Nations Security Council Resolution 1874, unanimously passed on June 12, broadened the concept of illicit cargoes as far as North Korea is concerned. It prohibits Pyongyang from selling arms, even handguns. The Kang Nam's U-turn is a sure sign that it is carrying contraband and is now seeking a safe port.

The Security Council, while banning Pyongyang's export of weapons, has not given U.N. member states the means of enforcing the new restrictions. Resolution 1874 calls upon countries to inspect North Korean cargoes on the high seas -- but only "with the consent of the flag State," in this case North Korea. Should Pyongyang refuse -- as it most certainly would -- a member state can, within the terms of the resolution, direct a vessel to "an appropriate and convenient port" for inspection by local officials. Should Pyongyang refuse to divert the ship, the resolution contemplates the filing of a report to a U.N. committee.
It looks as if Washington will file such a report soon. Last week, the U.S. promised China it would abide by the restraints imposed by Resolution 1874. This means, in all probability, that the U.S. will be reduced to watching the Kang Nam unload illegal cargo items at some port.

Yet Washington does not have to adopt such a feeble approach. The North Koreans have, inadvertently, given the U.S. a way to escape from the restrictions of the new Security Council measure. On May 27, the Korean People's Army issued a statement declaring that it "will not be bound" by the armistice that ended fighting in the Korean War. This was at least the third time Pyongyang has disavowed the interim agreement that halted hostilities in 1953. Previous renunciations were announced in 2003 and 2006.
The U.N. Command, a signatory to the armistice, shrugged off Pyongyang's belligerent statement. "The armistice remains in force and is binding on all signatories, including North Korea," it said immediately after the renunciation, referring to the document's termination provisions. That may be the politically correct thing to say, but an armistice as a legal matter cannot remain in existence after one of its parties, a sovereign state, announces its end. Today, whether we like it or not, there is no armistice.
Furthermore, there has never been a peace treaty formally ending the Korean War. This means the U.S., a combatant in the conflict, as leader of the U.N. Command, is free to use force against Pyongyang. On legal grounds, the U.S. Navy therefore has every right to seize the Kang Nam, treat the crew as prisoners of war, and confiscate its cargo, even if the ship is carrying nothing more dangerous than melons. Because the Navy has the right to torpedo the vessel, which proudly flies the flag of another combatant in the war, it of course has the right to board her.

But does America have the will to do so? "Rules must be binding. Violations must be punished. Words must mean something," President Barack Obama said in the first week of April, reacting to North Korea's test of a long-range missile. Unfortunately, the president's words have apparently meant little because Kim Jong Il's belligerent state has, since that time, detonated a nuclear device, handed out harsh sentences to two American reporters, and announced the resumption of plutonium production. North Korea has threatened nuclear war several times in recent days and this month sent one of its patrol boats into South Korean waters. American envoys, in response, have issued stern warnings, participated in meetings in the region, and engaged in high-level diplomacy in the corridors of the U.N. None of these measures, however, has led to the enforcement of rules or the punishment of the North Korean regime.

North Korea's words, in contrast, have meant something. It has, as noted, ended the armistice. Of course, no one is arguing that the nations participating in the U.N. Command resume a full-scale land war in Asia. Yet recognizing the end of the temporary truce would allow the U.S. to use more effective measures to stop the North Korean proliferation of missile and nuclear technologies. The Bush administration sometimes got around to warning Kim Jong Il about selling dangerous technologies but never did anything about it.

Instead, President George W. Bush outsourced the problem to the U.N. In October 2006, in response to the North's first nuclear detonation, the Security Council passed a resolution aimed at halting North Korean proliferation. Unfortunately, Beijing refused to implement the new rules, calling the measures unacceptable, even after voting in favor of them. Since then, more evidence has come to light of North Korea's transfer of nuclear weapons technologies to Iran and Syria.

The lesson of the last few years is that the U.N. is not capable of stopping North Korean proliferation. No nation can stop it except the U.S. Of course, ending North Korea's sales of dangerous technologies to hostile regimes will anger Pyongyang. This month, for instance, the North said that interception of the Kang Nam would constitute an "act of war."

Yet, as much as the international community would like to avoid a confrontation, the world cannot let Kim Jong Il continue to proliferate weapons. Moreover, it is unlikely that he will carry through on his blustery threats. The North Koreans did not in fact start a war when, at America's request, Spain's special forces intercepted an unflagged North Korean freighter carrying Scud missiles bound for Yemen in December 2002. Even though the Spanish risked lives to board the vessel, Washington soon asked Madrid to release it. At the time, the Bush administration explained there was no legal justification to seize the missiles.
Now, the Obama administration has no such excuse. There is definitely a legal justification to seize the Kang Nam. North Korea, after all, has resumed the Korean War.

Obama Administration Seeks Welfare Checks For Gitmo Terrorists

Not only does the Obama Regime plan on settling terrorists in your neighborhood, they also plan to send them welfare checks so that they don’t have to work like the Americans they want to kill. During his news conference, [National Intelligence Director Dennis] Blair also said the Obama administration is still wrestling with what to do with the remaining 240 detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, which the president has ordered closed.

Some of the detainees, deemed non-threatening, may be released into the United States as free men, Blair confirmed. That would happen when they can't be returned to their home countries, because the governments either won't take them or the U.S. fears they will be abused or tortured. That is the case with 17 Uighers (WEE'-gurz), Chinese Muslim separatists who were cleared for release from the jail long ago. The U.S. can't find a country willing to take them, and it will not turn them over to China.

Blair said the former prisoners would have get some sort of assistance to start their new lives in the United States. "We can't put them out on the street," he said. I feel confident that I speak for the vast majority of Americans when I say “HELL NO” to this proposal. Shutting Gitmo is wrong. Settling these enemies of America in our midst is even worse. And supporting them with the hard-earned money of American citizens is intolerable. This is clearly not the sort of hope or change that any lover of America can believe in.

Obama’s Nefarious Narcissism

President Obama is unyielding in his “…pursuit of dominance and ambition,” comporting himself with an undeniable air of “egotistical grandiosity.” Nevertheless, the president deserves more pity than censure. Obama possesses impressive prowess as a politician, which has garnered him self-absorbed nurturing from a nation of sycophants who refuse to recognize a tortured man, “…excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, and prestige.”

“Narcissists are aided, abetted and facilitated by four types of people and institutions: the adulators, the blissfully ignorant, the self-deceiving and those deceived by the narcissist.”

Classic narcissists lack compassion, are arrogant and disproportionately proud. They present with excessive selfishness, ostentatious views of their own talent and have an insatiable craving for admiration. Typically, the textbook narcissist over stresses personal deeds and abilities expecting credit for being superior based on accomplishments that are disproportionate to their demand for adulation.

Barack Obama shines when straddled between two Greek columns, amidst wafts of machine-generated smoke, skilfully orating to an adoring throng of 75,000. Likewise, “the narcissistic leader prefers the sparkle and glamour of well-orchestrated illusions to the tedium and method of real accomplishments. His reign is smoke and mirrors, devoid of substance, consisting of appearances and mass delusions.” Invesco Field-like events, think Brandenburg Gate, infuse Obama with a shot of “excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation,” which for the narcissist, is like crack to an addict.

The emotionally secure grasp the enormity of high profile positions like, let us say, leader of the free world. “Two years in the U.S. Senate, seven years in the Illinois Senate, one loss in a primary election for the U.S. House of Representatives, one stirring keynote address at a Democratic National Convention and two best-selling books,” elevated Obama, in his own pretentious mind, to aspire to the most powerful position in world. This type of self-promotion is indicative of someone who, “…demands to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievement,” fitting the paradigm of “megalomaniac delusions of grandeur” run amok.

Narcissists are usually people with a thin resume, having accomplished little prior to their ascendance. They appear to have erupted on the scene from nowhere…received as providential messiahs …unencumbered with a discernible pasts…ostensibly unburdened by prior affiliations and commitments.

The president displays classic characteristics of a cerebral narcissist, possessed with “fame, fearsome power and omnipotence,” coupled with belief in his own “unequalled brilliance.” He recently lauded himself as gifted, “deriving narcissistic supply from [his] intelligence and/or academic achievements.”

The Obama stratagem managed to beguile an adoring constituency, win a major election and catapult him to the presidency.

Given a high, enough level of frustration, triggered by recurrent, endemic, and systemic failures in all spheres of policy, even the most resilient democracy develops a predilection to “strong men”, leaders whose self-confidence, sangfroid, and apparent omniscience.

Barack Obama is on a self-ordained messianic mission, attempting to mend 200 years of what he believes, are severe American “injustices.” “Narcissistic leadership often poses as a rebellion against the “old ways” - against the hegemonic culture, the upper classes, the established religions, the superpowers, the corrupt order.” Obama has pledged to level the playing field and vowed to single handily “change the world.”

The president travels the world flaunting self-righteous stances. He demonizes his predecessors and lionizes himself. “The Narcissist cannot regard humans, situations, entities, political parties, countries, races…he either idealizes his object – or devalues it.” Since January 20th, Obama has been involved in propping up his own presidency through the negative exploitation of the Bush years. Notably failing to diplomatically correct Hugo Chavez’s compliment, lauding him a “…intelligent man, compared to the previous president,” he welcomed as flattering, an uncouth remark toward an ex-president.

Barack Obama habitually and “predominantly focuses attention upon himself, to the exclusion of others,” which the DSM-IV, of the American Psychiatric Association defines as pathological narcissism. At the Summit of the Americas, he endeavoured to endear global affection by befriending, “…special or high status people,” like brutal dictators Chavez and Ortega. In a room filled with our nation’s enemies, Obama narcissistically exempted himself while censuring America by saying, “I’m grateful that President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was three months old.”

Narcissists tend to be “dogmatic, rigid and doctrinaire.” In a similar manner, Obama dampens, “free thought, pluralism, or free speech” if differing from his own. For example, he dismissively ignored Americans vocalizing patriotic ideals and exercising First Amendment rights by attending Tea Parties. When finally acknowledging the protesters, he did so in a derogatory fashion, referring to them as, “…folks waving tea bags around.” Obama blurts out off-the-cuff belittling statements, jolting even his sincerest devotees with the visible ire he exhibits toward political rivals. He also seems acutely ruffled by a “…certain news channel, on which he’s not very popular,” indicating palpable irritation toward their differing viewpoint.

Narcissists routinely exercise smug impatience by devaluing those they view as intimidating, because for them “every disagreement is criticism and every critical remark a…humiliating rejection – nothing short of a threat.” Barack Obama too holds detractors in contempt and attempts to diminish their stature in order to minimize the impact of critical disagreement. Narcissists exhibit classic cognitive dissonance acting “conspicuously, indignant, aggressive, and cold.” Recently, while debating with colleagues Obama was “boastful and pretentious” glibly reminding subordinates that his tax policies prevail because, lest anyone forget, “He won!”

If challenged, Obama has a pattern of reacting in a top-heavy outrageous 24-hour news cycle manner. If the public seems defiant, Obama quickly asserts power by unapologetically inflaming large groups like the faith community denying foundational Judeo-Christian roots. Flexing liberal political muscle, he appoints to the Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighbourhood Partnerships, gay activist Harry Knox.

Feeling judged for treating England’s Gordon Brown in a discourteous manner, Obama symbolically flips the proverbial bird and bows acquiescently to a Saudi King. He desires correspondence with Ahmadinejad but is hesitant about meeting Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu. Obama struts around with a conceited, in-your-face megalomaniacal egotism, which is “dictator like nature.” With every retort to incongruity, he swiftly reminds his critics who is the head rooster in the coop.

Narcissists exhibit imperious elitist tendencies and a pervading sense of entitlement because they deem themselves better than anyone else. If unscripted, Obama’s true feelings come out. He languishes in the lavish lifestyle, which includes Air Force 1 shuttling he and Michelle to Chicago for Valentine’s Day. In times of economic pressure, the common herd does not enjoy the same luxuries he benefits from, especially peons residing anywhere other than the top floor of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Cross Obama and a disturbing side of him may surface, dishing out curt responses and mocking public corrections. What he wants, thinks and believes is what counts. Do not preclude his decisions or expect him to do anything he does not want to do, from producing a birth certificate, to answering unscheduled questions at press conferences. Barack Obama anticipates, international deference, recognition and admiration, even if the reputation of our nation diminishes as a result.

Focus America! Like all egocentric self-promoters Obama, “is charming and extroverted. But the problem is that this doesn’t necessarily make him a better leader.”

DEATH OF A NATION
This economic crisis is too useful for Obama to want it to end. When Rahm Emanuel -- and later Hillary Clinton -- spoke of never letting a good crisis "go to waste," many people were shocked. But now Obama seems to embody the corollary: that the crisis should continue until he has thoroughly milked it to reshape American politics, society and the economy. Like Faust, he seems to wish that this "given moment" will "endure forever." Unlike Faust, however, he will not lose his "life and soul" to such a wish. He'll sacrifice ours instead.
First came the "stimulus package." With only about $185 billion of its $800 billion in spending to be spent in 2009, Obama clearly never intended the spending to be about stimulus but wanted the need for a stimulus to trigger the spending he wanted anyway. Then came the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) funding, often forced down banks' throats. Now comes word that even as banks want to return the money, the Treasury is making them keep it. One source at a TARP bank reports that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is insisting that banks go through their "stress test" before refunding the TARP money. As Stuart Varney speculates, in The Wall Street Journal, Obama wants the banks to keep the money so he can enforce his regulations on them.
Now comes Geithner's plea for extra regulatory powers and Obama's concession to global economic regulation at the G-20 summit. Both moves are game-changers for any major American business. Geithner wants the power to take over any business, presumably in any field whose failure would imperil the national economy. Today it's banks, brokerage houses, car companies and insurance firms. Tomorrow? Who knows?
And Obama agreed to agree on international "high standards" for the regulation of all "systemically important" companies to be promulgated by the new global Financial Stability Board (FSB). The United States, occupying one of 20 chairs on the FSB board (21 if we count the EU), will come to a consensus with other central bankers from the G-20 nations on what these regulations should say. Then the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve and the other regulatory arms of the U.S. government will impose them on our economy.
(Some have objected that Congress needs to be consulted, but as long as the agreements are "voluntary" and the U.S. agencies are merely "asked" to impose the regulations, no further grant of congressional authority is needed. But, of course, there will be nothing voluntary about the administration's demand that the agencies implement the coming FSB directives (no matter how intrusive they may be).
And, finally, there is Obama's delegation of a total overhaul of the tax code to a commission headed by Paul Volcker with a mandate to report back in December of this year.
So with the tax code totally changing, Europe about to formulate regulations for our economy, the U.S. government empowered to take over any large company, the deficit and spending reaching unbelievable levels and the feds insisting on continued control of banks, what businessman in his right mind is going to invest in anything? How could even the most foolish optimist pull the trigger on a business investment without knowing the tax consequences, the regulatory framework and the policy of the banks on lending?
But Obama knows all this. He knows that his steps will delay economic recovery. But he wants these changes, not as means to an end, but as the end itself. And he is determined to get them passed and set in stone while the rubric of "crisis" justifies his doing so.
He is not unlike a leader who takes his country into war, knowing that by "wagging the dog" he can reinforce his power.
But ultimately, does Obama care if he is reelected? Doesn't he know that he needs a good economy to extend his mandate to eight years? Yes, of course he does. But he probably figures that he can turn the economy around as Election Day 2012 draws nearer and reap all the credit then. In the meantime, no good crisis should ever go to waste.

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES!
The darkest times in human history have all begun when someone decided "not to let a serious crisis go to waste". In fact, it is in times of economic crisis that folks are most susceptible to the ideas of tyrants. We look for an answer, any port in a storm that will shield us from the unknown. And in our desire to be safe, we open ourselves up to things that we would never have dreamed of allowing in normal times.
Consider, my friends that Germany in the 1930's was suffering from massive unemployment and high inflation, mostly due to the effects of the Great Depression. Hitler appointed Hjalmar Schacht as Minister of Economics to combat this and bring Germany into fresh prosperity. Schacht leaned on Keynesian Economics to this end, specifically in the areas of large public works programs supported by deficit spending. For those that don't know, deficit spending is when the Government purposefully spends more money than they receive through tax revenues. The theory is that by spending into deficit, the government creates jobs which increases consumer spending. This in turn, creates more business by supplying for the new spending being done.
The natural reaction that rational people have to deficit spending is to talk about the "burden of the national debt". The idea of course is that if we create debt now, future generations will have to pay that debt off and we therefore are saddling them with a burden that is unfair. Interestingly, this reaction has been in place since the 1930's when Keynes first introduced his theory. Now, is it any wonder that the current administration has been untouched by the Right's cries regarding the burden of the national debt? To them it is the expected and naïve cry of the bourgeoisie used to scare the ignorant proletariat.. To the Keynesians, the debt-income ratio would disappear over time anyway, provided the economy grew fast enough.
Forgive my descent into macroeconomic theory friends, I do have a point here. However, I want you folks to understand what is happening all around you right as we speak. Obama's administration has embraced Keynesian economic theory. That is the reason for the massive spending bill, the Omnibus bill and the bailouts. They believe that by combating the current recession with massive governmental public works and deficit spending, they can end the economic crisis. Hjalmar Schacht and Adolf Hitler believed the exact same thing and Schacht applied the theory to Germany's Depression economy. After jolting the economy with massive deficit spending, the next step was to implement the Reinhardt Program, combining tax reductions with public investment in roads, railways and waterways. Now while it cannot be argued that both practices worked in getting Germany well on the road to recovery, it also is evident that it was the death of the free market in Germany and the perfect springboard for Hitler's rise to dictatorship.
In the Germany of the 1930's, the economic troubles served as a serious crisis in which the National Socialist Party could push through major reforms. When your job, your home, your livelihood seems to be in peril, people look for a voice, any voice, that seems to have the answer for their day-to-day problems. The more charismatic that leader is, the quicker his ascent to power during a crisis. Not only that, the more charismatic the leader is, the further people will allow themselves to be led down a path that they would normally rebel against.
Hence, the Keynesian theories that Hitler introduced to a desperate population not only served to jolt Germany's economy into recovery, it also served to make the Germans dependent on the government for their welfare and by extension then, on Hitler himself. He became their savior when in fact, he was their greatest doom.
There is no better time to introduce seismic shifts in a nation's identity than during an economic crisis, if you are the right kind of despot. In the years before the French Revolution, Necker borrowed and Calonne spent to combat the crisis caused by France's financing of the American Revolution. This led to a deepening of the crisis and eventual overthrow of the government. In 1917 in Tsarist Russia, the Bolsheviks used the economic crisis to overthrow the government and Lenin rose to power amidst the flames. Over and over throughout history we see the same pattern playing itself out; in the midst of crisis, the inmates take over the asylum.
We stand on a treacherous precipice here in America today. Had you been able to ask a German prior to Hitler's rise to power if Germany was capable of the Final Solution, do you think that they would have laughed you to scorn? Do we see that it was not a monstrous sub-class of people who carried out the orders of the Reich but rather normal people who were living their normal lives and were carried away into madness in degrees by a man who understood that times of crisis were perfect opportunities for major reform? The story of the Russian Revolution carries with it the exact same lessons that we fail to see. It was economic crisis that lent itself to the ascent of the Communist party and to the deaths of multiplied millions of Russians at the hands of that regime.
When good people relinquish the power of the free market, the power that rests in the hands of the individual, and look to a charismatic figure for help, disaster is right around the corner. It is nothing new that is happening in the world today, my friends. It is the same thing that has been happening since the dawn of time; it takes a crisis to enthrone a monster and I fear that something wicked this way comes.

ARROGANT, DEVIOUS OBAMA SCREWS US AGAIN!!

As you read these substantiated facts, please remember that Obama’s appointment as Secretary of the Interior is James Salazar. He is a Colorado rancher who is also a mad dog, rabid environmentalist who has opposed drilling ever since he has been in the Senate. The federal government has already threatened sanctions against any Western mountain state that attempts to sanction explorative drilling.

Obama campaigned with his “change we can believe in” slop. He said he would not interfere with our 2nd Amendment rights. Yet he appointed a radical, anti gunner as Attorney General who has just recently publicized a whole new anti gun agenda. Obama entertained domestic drilling while campaigning as well. Then he appoints Salazar as Sec of the Interior who is about as anti domestic exploration as you can get. He installs liberal sycophants to do his dirty work, thus keeping his hands clean. Wake up folks! Either throw these radical socialist bastards out of office or pay a price that you cannot even imagine in your wildest dreams.

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April ('08) that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since '95) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota; western South Dakota; and extreme eastern Montana. Check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

'When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.' says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

'This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years.' reports, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin, but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' And it stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada. For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL! That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 41 years straight and if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should because it's from TWO YEARS AGO:

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World!Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006 Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction.

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:-
8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia.
18-times as much oil as Iraq.
21-times as much oil as Kuwait.
22-times as much oil as Iran.
500-times as much oil as Yemen.

It's all right here in the Western United States .HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East, more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace and our domestic oil exploration will set OPEC on its ass!

Got your attention yet? I sure hope so because while you're thinking about it and hopefully extremely angry, please do this:

Pass this along to ALL of your friends and family because if you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you want to complain about gas prices because by doing NOTHING, you've forfeited your right to complain.

"THE MORAL BANKRUPTCY OF AMERICA"
by
AN IMMORAL ADMINISTRATION

Barack Obama has now been in office for 43 days. It is unimaginable the damage he has done to this once great economy. One can only speculate what the next 1,417 days will bring. He spent nearly as much money with one stroke of his pen in five minutes than George Bush spent in eight years. However, this factoid pales in comparison to what is to come. The democratic brain trust of Pelosi, Reid, Schumer and the rest of their intellectual flat liner associates are already in the "giveaway kitchen" cooking up the “next” stimulus package. They have every intention of bailing out their cronies in the print media, among others, before this is over.

It stuns me that such a large percentage of the American public is so blind to the obvious machinations of this administration. How can so many people be so ignorant of the democratic processes that they believe this is the back lash from the prior administration. The democrats have had control of the House and the Senate for the past two years. It is the democratic fiscal policies we are paying for right now. The hallowed Obama has already reneged on his campaign promises to “cut the pork” and do away with earmarks. The bail out bill was loaded with so many congressional and senatorial earmarks that it would make Tip O’Neil spin in his grave. This is the first time in fifteen years that democrats have had a sitting president and control of both houses. Their agenda is not about US, it’s about them! They are going to take full advantage of this situation to broaden their power base at the expense of the American taxpayer.

Where are we going to get the money to pay for all of these grandiose economic schemes? We don’t have the money to fund this insanity so we are borrowing it from the world. How do you think we are going to be able to meet the payments on the interest, much less the principle? I will tell you how. TAXES! Yes, that’s right; your hard earned tax dollars are funding the insanity. These ruthless, two faced, unprincipled bastards have hi-jacked your grandchildren’s future. King Obama’s budget for fiscal year 2010 is $3.5 trillion. Under his 2010 energy plan, Obama wants to reduce the emissions blamed for global warming by auctioning off carbon pollution permits. The proposal, known as cap and trade, is projected to raise $646 billion over 10 years. What they fail to tell anyone is that it will bankrupt small business in the process and drive the cost of energy through the roof. But who cares? It will raise $646 billion dollars for the king’s coffers. This massive hidden energy tax is going to work its way through every aspect of American life.

This is the largest fraud in history ever perpetrated on America, by Americans. When those Americans suffering from “rectal cranial inversion” wake up, it will be too late. Why is it so hard to understand that a group of elected officials who have very little or NO business expertise should be entrusted with running the largest economy in the world? Even the most myopic cerebral dunderhead knows what happens when the government administers anything. It rapidly becomes a self perpetuating monster that feeds on its own inefficiency and bloat. President Calvin Coolidge once said; “the business of America is business”. Let the capitalists run the economy and keep the government intervention to a minimum. Capitalism is nothing more than the survival of the fittest in the economic arena. If you are not strong, lean and flexible you will be consumed by your competition. Why are people so concerned about “golden parachutes”, multi million dollar bonuses, corporate jets and the like? As long as the company is making money and profits are up, what’s the problem? I will tell you what the problem is, it is this “class envy” epidemic that has been propagated by the liberal left. They want you to think that these people do not deserve these perks, that their excesses are not “fair”, that they are out of touch and that they really haven’t earned that lifestyle. At the same time they (the politicians) are gorging themselves on corporate hand outs and a veritable smorgasboard of public and private pork. These political pigs are the epitomy of symbolism over substance. The adage of do as I do, not as I say is their mantra! Now this is where the rubber meets the road. Economics 101 teaches us that for capitalism to work it must be a self supporting ideal and free from excessive government intervention. Barack Obama stuffs billions in the pockets of the most unstable financial entities under the guise of “saving America”. To quote another American President, Lyndon Johnson; “that dog won’t hunt”. If these companies were left to their own devices they would either sink or swim. Regardless, when all was said and done we would have a much stronger, viable and robust economy. The problem as his highness see’s it is that some people would be hurt. I hate to be so bourgeois but you can’t make an omelet without breaking an egg and you can’t make wine without crushing some grapes. Here in lies the problem. Too many Americans have become soft, self centered and selfish. We “want” everything now and we don’t want any pain associated with the gain. We really don’t want to work for anything, we just want it. Guess what people, you have the perfect President in place to make that happen, but rest assured that you will rue the day when the bill comes due. This great nation was built on blood, sweat, determination and sacrifice. The principles that have made us great are rapidly dissipating and are being replaced by incompetence, sloth, inefficiency and an unprecedented moral bankruptcy. Get off your asses and save this country. Step up, speak out and throw these lazy, spineless bastards out of office before it’s too late. It’s up to you.

ARROGANCE, FRAUD & DECEPTION
brought to you by:
YOUR GOVERNMENT!!
Keep in mind as you read and digest these numbers that President Obama has instrcted the Pentagon to cut it's budget by 10% across the board effective immediately. This in a time when our national and international security is of the utmost importance.

$34,000: The amount of federal taxes that Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner (D) failed to pay during his employment at the International Monetary Fund despite receiving extra compensation and explanatory brochures that described his tax liabilities.

$75,000: The amount of money that the head of the powerful tax-writing committee, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), was forced to report on his taxes after the discovery that he had not reported income from a Costa Rican rental property. His excuses for the failure started with blaming his wife, then his accountant and finally the fact that he didn't speak Spanish.

$93,000: The amount of petty cash each Congressional representative voted to give themselves in January 2009 during the height of an economic meltdown.

$133,900: The amount Fannie Mae "invested" in Chris Dodd (D-CT), head of the powerful Senate Banking Committee, presumably to repel oversight of the GSE prior to its meltdown. Said meltdown helped touch off the current economic crisis. In only a few years time, Fannie also "invested" over $105,000 in then-Senator Barack Obama.

$140,000: The amount of back taxes and interest that Cabinet nominee Tom Daschle (D) was forced to cough up after the vetting process revealed significant, unexplained tax liabilities.

$356,000: The approximate amount of income and deductions that Daschle (D) was forced to report on his amended 2005 and 2007 tax returns after being caught cheating on his taxes. This includes $255,256 for the use of a car service, $83,333 in unreported income, and $14,963 in charitable contributions.

$800,000: The amount of "sweetheart" mortgages Senate Banking Chairman Chris Dodd (D-CT) received from Countrywide Financial, the details for which he has refused to release details despite months of promises to do so. Countrywide was once the nation's largest mortgage lender and linked to Government-Sponsored Entities like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Their meltdown precipitated the current financial crisis. Just days ago in Pennsylvania , Countrywide was forced to pay $150,000,000 in mortgage assistance following "a state investigation that concluded that Countrywide relaxed its underwriting standards to sell risky loans to consumers who did not understand them and could not afford them."

$1,000,000: The estimated amount of donations by Denise Rich, wife of fugitive Marc Rich, to Democrat interests and the William J. Clinton Foundation in an apparent quid pro quo deal that resulted in a pardon for Mr. Rich. The pardon was reviewed and blessed by Obama Attorney General and then Deputy AG Eric Holder, despite numerous requests by government officials to turn it down.

$12,000,000: The amount of TARP money provided to community bank OneUnited despite the fact that it did not qualify for funds, and was "under attack from its regulators for allegations of poor lending practices and executive-pay abuses." It turns out that Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), a key contributor to the Fannie Mae meltdown, just happens to be married to one of the bank's ex-directors.

$23,500,000: The upper range of net worth Rep. Allan Mollohan (D-WV) accumulated in four years time according to The Washington Post through earmarks of "tens of millions of dollars to groups associated with his own business partners."

$2,000,000,000: ($2 billion) The approximate amount of money that House Appropriations Chairman David Obey (D-WI) is earmarking related to his son's lobbying efforts. Craig Obey is "a top lobbyist for the nonprofit group" that would receive a roughly $2 billion component of the "Stimulus" package.

$3,700,000,000: ($3.7 billion) Not to be outdone, this is the estimated value of various defense contracts awarded to a company controlled by the husband of Rep. Diane Feinstein (D-CA). Despite an obvious conflict-of-interest as "a member of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee, Sen. Feinstein voted for appropriations worth billions to her husband's firms ."

$4,190,000,000: ($4.19 billion) The amount of money in the so-called "Stimulus" package devoted to fraudulent voter registration ACORN group under the auspices of "Community Stabilization Activities". ACORN is currently the subject of a RICO suit in Ohio.

$1,646,000,000,000: ($1.646 trillion) The approximate amount of annual United States exports endangered by the "Stimulus" package, which provides a "Buy American" stricture. According to international trade experts, a "US-EU trade war looms", which could result in a worldwide economic depression reminiscent of that touched off by the protectionist Smoot-Hawley Act.It's not just a culture of corruption. It's a culture of corruption and stupidity. And, unlike some Republicans, Democrats appear to be above the law. All of the aforementioned clowns are still in office, ruling like the royalty they believe they have become.

"FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS"
The rationale used by those people who seek to disarm the American public has always puzzled me. Many years ago I thought they were just misinformed and didn't really know the true facts and statistics concerning firearm use and/or possession by the private citizen. The Second Amendment was ratified in 1791 and the National Rifle Association was founded in 1871. That pretty much sums up the timeline on guns in America until 1934. Brought about by the lawlessness and rise of gangster culture during prohibition, Congress passed the National Firearms Act. President Franklin Roosevelt hoped this act would eliminate automatic-fire weapons like machine guns from America's streets. To make his point, he slapped a $200 tax on all firearms. This was a significant amount in those days; equal to roughly $2,500 in today’s economy. After President John F. Kennedy was shot in November 1963, the public hue and cry was horrendous, although considering the gravity of the situation, not unwarranted. People were outraged that an individual with a history of mental illness could buy a gun (through the mail no less) and assassinate the President of the United States.

In 1968 the Gun Control Act was passed. The assassination of Robert Kennedy and the subsequent assassination of Martin Luther King fueled its quick acceleration into law. License requirements were expanded to include more dealers, and more detailed recordkeeping was expected of them; handgun sales over state lines were restricted; the list of persons dealers could not sell to grew to include those convicted of felonies (with some exceptions), those found mentally incompetent, drug users and more. The act also defined persons who were banned from possessing firearms.

I absolutely understand the public outcry. I am the first person to agree that there are people who should not be allowed to own a firearm of any kind and I strongly supported this legislation. When John Hinckley attempted to assassinate President Ronald Regan on March 30, 1981, and in the process shot press secretary James Brady and police officer Thomas K. Delehanty, the politicians in their haste to garner favor with their constituency, rapidly accelerated (as usual) their anti gun agenda to light speed. James Brady became the lightening rod for anti gun legislation. Sarah Brady was given unfettered access to the halls of government in order to push her anti gun agenda. Nobody in the government was about to stand in the way of her campaign against guns unless they were contemplating political suicide. In 1985 her campaign joined forces with an organization called Handgun Control, Inc. (HCI) of which she became the chair in 1989. As they say, the rest is history.

In retrospect, there has been some constructive legislation that was spawned by HCI and their splinter groups. However, the fear mongering, distortion of the truth and the outright lies perpetrated by these groups have been absolutely absurd. They (HCI) publish statistics that are baseless and unfounded at the very least and outright lies in their content. Suddenly every gun owner became a potential suspect and every gun a potential threat. Look no further than the Peoples’ Republic of California to see the result of anti gun hysteria gone wild. The current California gun control laws far outstrip any federal regulations in volume and scope. Yet the crime rate, with or without firearms for all intents and purposes; unchanged. The old shop worn saying; “when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns” is without a doubt the most accurate truism (self evident truth) of the gun control controversy.

In 1994, a bill commonly referred to as; “The Assault Weapons Ban” was passed. This bill banned the manufacture, possession or importation of new semi-automatic (one bullet is fired for each pull of the trigger) assault weapons and large capacity magazines for civilian use. On the surface it seems like such a compassionate law sculpted with only the very best intentions of the political illuminati. In essence, it was just another “gun grabbing” piece of legislation aimed at that suspicious group of folks called; gun owners. No one should have any illusions about what was accomplished (by the ban). Assault weapons play a part in only a small percentage of crime. The provision is mainly symbolic and is all smoke and mirrors. The real virtue of this legislation is that it will be a stepping stone to broader gun control in the future. The cold hard facts are this: Less than one-half of one percent of gun crimes involves “assault weapons”.

A major point I want to make concerning this assault on our inalienable rights is that the framers of our Constitution were so adamant about the right of the people to keep and bear arms that they made it one of the first three provisions of the Bill of Rights: Freedom of religion, freedom of speech and the right to keep and bear arms. Anti gunners argue this amendment only refers to the militia and not the private citizen. In those days the people were the militia. The intention of this amendment is crystal clear. One last point I’d like to make concerning the Bill of Rights is this: We are guaranteed the freedom of religion, not the freedom from religion. So I say to rabble rousing, malcontent heretics like Michael Newdow and his ilk; why don’t you stick your atheistic rant where the sun doesn’t shine?

Gary Kleck (http://www.criminology.fsu.edu/p/faculty-gary-kleck.php) is a Professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University. He is a lifelong registered Democrat, a contributor to liberal Democratic candidates and his background reads like a who’s who and a what's what list of liberal causes: The ACLU, Amnesty International USA, Common Cause, Democrats 2000 and Independent Action just to name a few. Due to a lack of creditable data, Mr. Kleck did extensive research in an effort to determine the number of defensive gun uses (DFG) that occurred every year in America. Mr. Kleck found substantial supportive evidence that there were over 2 million DFG’s every year. Keep in mind that this figure does not include how many times criminals were dissuaded from their objective by an armed citizen who “brandished” a firearm (To wave or flourish a weapon menacingly). Mr. Kleck’s research proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the private ownership of guns is a major deterrent to criminal behavior.

Responsible gun ownership by private citizens is an integral part of the foundation upon which our country was founded. Any argument to the contrary is without merit and counter productive to the well being of our society. Due to the societal make up and the extensive population density in this country, depending on the police to protect us, our family and our property is an ideal we can ill afford to endorse. It’s time we faced the reality that there are a multitude of left wing, anti gun lunatics in our government who would like nothing better than to disarm the populace. We must stand up and be counted before it is to late. Look no further than our neighbors across the pond (England) to see what happens when apathy and ignorance replace truth and commitment:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTq2NEUlhDE
If this isn’t a wake up call then we are doomed as a society and will, beyond any doubt, reap what we have sown.

President-elect Obama’s Attorney General Appointee, Eric Holder, is going to get fast tracked right into office by our representatives’. Obama has said he will not interfere with our gun rights and with anti gun thugs like Holder he doesn’t have to. Holder will do it for him. Obama's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, was Bill Clinton's "point man on gun control". When he ran for congress, Sarah Brady herself issued a statement saying; "Rahm Emanuel has stood side-by-side w/the Brady Campaign and the Million Mom March to fight the scourge of gun violence in America. We are facing the greatest challenge to our 2nd Amendment rights in history. Make no mistake my friends, the wolf is at the door and our time is at hand! It’s time to get involved. Write, call or phone your government representatives’. Isn’t your freedom worth five minutes of your time?

“Those who hammer their guns into plowshares will plow for those who do not”.

THE BAILOUT
aka:
POLITICAL THEATRE OF THE ABSURD
I have heard endless discussions on the pros and cons of the financial bail out. Everybody seems to have at least one opinion as to why, how much or when. There is a multitude of catch phrases, buzz words and protracted ideological musings making their way through Americana that attempt to condemn or support this latest "entitlement" program. I have not the background nor the intellectual capacity required to dissect this tumultuous can of worms. However, like the rest of us I have an opinion supported by facts that may shed a new light on this “PROFOUND POLITICAL THEATRE”.

From a prima fascia standpoint I find a number of flaws in this bailout. First and foremost, where the hell is this money coming from? America is currently in debt to the tune of eleven trillion dollars (not to be confused w/the federal deficit). This represents the combined indebtedness of intra-governmental holdings coupled with debt held by the public. Our government is broke. The only way that this bailout can get off the ground is by printing more money. Since America has been off of the gold standard since 1933 there is absolutely nothing that guarantees the worthiness of the dollar. The projected cost of this bail out is expected to reach as high as four trillion dollars in the next four years. When the theoretical economics of this plan catch up with practical application, look out America. There will be double digit inflation, double digit unemployment and double digit interest rates. I don’t care whose rules of economics you apply be it Obama-nomics or those of noted Harvard economics professor Kenneth Rogoff. We are in a recession and the bill for this government giveaway is going to come due sooner or later, but rest assured that it will come due.

Secondly, a large part of the government’s plan to jump start this floundering economy is with a multitude of public works projects. I know this sounds exciting and has that sacrosanct FDR ring to it. Delightful visions of “New Deal” politics and programs like the WPA, TVA and the NRA (National Recovery Administration) come dancing through one’s mind. This is music to the ears of the beltway politicians. To invoke and administer the ideals of the grand daddy of entitlement programs is an honor indeed. There is one small flaw to this logic other than paying for these projects. There is a federal law called the Davis Bacon Act of 1931 that is a United States federal law which established the requirement for paying prevailing wages on public works projects. How does this affect the application of bailout funds you ask? This law requires non-union contractors working on public works projects to pay the “prevailing union scale” to all employees. It is nearly impossible for a small company, much less a start-up company, to qualify. For small companies to get bonded for a public works project is next to impossible these days. The only people that are going to benefit from these public works projects are well established larger contractors. As usual, the little guy gets left out in the cold. However, this does allow the politicians to funnel money to their union constituency. Only 12% of American companies are unionized with 5% of that being government unions. The Democrats have always had the union leaders in their pocket and still do. In essence, only a very small percentage of the American work force is going to profit. The “trickle down” from this stimulus package is negligible at best.

let’s talk about Detroit and the Big 3. The Detroit bailout has taken center stage for the past six months. Nancy Pelosi and her traveling troupe of jesters have harangued this issue to death. The highlight of this sitcom came when the Big 3 CEO’s were harshly criticized for their reckless use of personal jets to fly from Detroit to Washington DC. However, with our country buried in red ink, Nancy Pelosi has no problem flying from Washington, DC to her home in California in a USAF C-40A (see picture) on an almost weekly basis.

The C-40, described by the Air Force as: “An office in the sky w/beds, two galleys and business type seating”. The plane is equipped the most sophisticated electronics and avionics available. This way she may stay in constant touch with the White House. She’s not even in touch with her own constituency for crying out loud! The expense to the taxpayer for this “fringe benefit” is $60 thousand one way or an annual expense of $6 million. This is, however, justified by the fact that the government feels that this type of security and convenience is appropriate for the leading lady of this farcical comedy. Give me a break! We are constantly faced with this political elitism that smacks of a dual standard of conduct that is so far gone awry that no amount of recalibration will ever right the ship of state. The government is picking our pockets with both hands. This is the only way they can prop up corrupt financial institutions who should have never survived in the free market in the first place. However, I digress. Back to the Big 3 and the purported bailout.

If you really think that our government’s intention is to bail out the car companies, you are either delusional, uninformed or both. Let me make this very clear to everyone. The government is not bailing out the Big 3; they are bailing out Ron Gettelfinger and the United Auto Workers (UAW). This is an absolute no brainer. The UAW has approximately 500,000 active members and 575,000 retired members. Negotiating for overly generous health benefits for union members has aided and abetted the decline of the auto industry. The “Big Three” collectively spent almost $10 billion on health insurance in 2002 and $12 billion in 2008, yet UAW has heedlessly continued to waste money. Big governments’ primary concern is not the Big 3. The health of Ford, Chrysler and GM is a by-product of the UAW bailout. The beltway bandits are only concerned with the 1 million+ votes the UAW represents, nothing more, nothing less. If this union was allowed to go bankrupt, the votes the Democrats’ stand to lose in the future is astronomical. Michigan would probably never again vote Democratic.

Ron Gettelfinger has a base pay of approximately $160 thousand a year. With the perks he enjoys such as meals, travel, lodging and his staff of goons, thugs and advisors, some people speculate that the job may be worth close to $8 million a year! Now couple these trivial incidental dollars to the fact that the UAW has built a luxurious “private members only” country club at their members’ expense: http://www.blacklake.com/ This place has a full sized gym, two basketball courts, an Olympic sized pool, sauna/steam rooms, billiard tables and on and on ad nauseum. This extravagant, palatial country club was built with sweat equity of the membership. How many do you think will ever get a chance to play there? Never a mention of this by the congressional interrogators who slammed the Big 3 CEOs’ for their irresponsible business practices.

I am not anti union nor am I anti big business. However, there is so much underhanded politics going on “in front” of the scenes that to conger up what goes on behind the scenes is truly frightening. We have been sold a bill of goods by our leaders in Washington, Democrats and Republicans alike. There must be a moral accounting, a true reconciliation of fiscal responsibility and economic integrity. It is time for us all to step up and be counted. Even a short email to your representative is better than NOTHING! Tell them you want an honest and impartial disclosure of your tax dollars. The operative word there is yours by the way. A MUST READ POST
Author: Anonymous

This comes from an employer who is being very honest with his employees. I wish he had written it to the world. But, because he didn't, I am passing it on to those of you who might share it with others.

The small business boss explains the options :

To All My Valued Employees,

There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn't pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country. However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interests.

First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there is a back story. This back story is often neglected and overshadowed by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside. You've seen my big home at last years Christmas party. I'm sure all these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about my life.

However, what you don't see is the back story.

I started this company 28 years ago. At that time, I lived in a 300 square foot studio apartment for 3 years. My entire living apartment was converted into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a company, which by the way, would eventually employ you.

My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I spent went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a defective transmission. I didn't have time to date. Often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business -- hard work, discipline, and sacrifice.

Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made a modest $50K a year and spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom's for the latest hot fashion item, I was trolling through the Goodwill store extracting any clothing item that didn't look like it was birthed in the 70's. My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money and my life into a business with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, would be able to afford these luxuries my friends supposedly had.

So, while you physically arrive at the office at 9am, mentally check in at about noon, and then leave at 5pm, I don't. There is no "off" button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have the freedom. I eat, and breathe this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. Every day this business is attached to my hip like a 1 year old special-needs child. You, of course, only see the fruits of that garden -- the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations... You never realize the back story and the sacrifices I've made.

Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right decisions and saved his money, have to bail-out all the people who didn't. The people who overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for. Those who went out and took on a home mortgage they could not afford, simply because it was permitted by a program conjured up by the government to promote home ownership at any level of income called Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.

Yes, business ownership has its benefits but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds.

Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why:

I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I have state taxes. Federal taxes. Property taxes. Sales and use taxes. Payroll taxes. Workers compensation taxes. Unemployment taxes. Taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes. You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero. Nada. Zilch.

The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check? Obviously, government feels the latter is the economic stimulus of this country.

The fact is, if I deducted (Read: Stole) 50% of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? That's nuts. Who wants to get rewarded only 50% for their hard work? No one! Well, I agree which is why your job is in jeopardy.

Here is what many of you don't understand ... to stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Had suddenly government mandated to me that I didn't need to pay taxes, guess what? Instead of depositing that $288,000 into the Washingtonblack-hole, I would have spent it, hired more employees, and generated substantial economic growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. But you can forget it now.

When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don't defibrillate and shock his thumb thinking that will bring him back to life, do you? Or, do you defibrillate his heart? Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not kill it. Suddenly, the power brokers in Washington believe the poor of America are the essential drivers of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change you can keep.

So where am I going with all this?

It's quite simple.

If any new taxes are levied on me or my company, my reaction will be swift and simple. I fire you. I fire your co-workers. You can then plead with the government to pay for your mortgage, your SUV and your child's future. Frankly, it isn't my problem any more.

Then, I will close this company down, move to another country, and retire. You see, I'm done. I'm done with a country that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed and with it will be my citizenship.

If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steamrolled the constitution and changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about....

Okay, now Obama is saying for 2009 if your business earns more than $250,000 of income after you have already paid taxes on the amount to arrive at this figure, you will then be the hardest hit tax payer for reaping that much income. This means my small business will now no longer be capable of reinvesting that income back into the business for increasing more work, more jobs, higher raises and income, increased benefits, etc..you name it.

On top of that, a very generous donation has been made in our names (Mr. & Mrs. Taxpayer) to bail out those business executives who failed to properly manage, to sacrifice as I did, or to plan for their businesses over time while flying around in corporate jets, spending huge amounts of money on lavish tax write off parties, fringe benefits and then to see those companies after collapse, paying out very generous CEO Pensions, bonuses and buy outs in the multi-millions after their sorry performance failed their companies and employees. Say goodbye to free enterprise folks. You elected them, you reap the outcome.

PROSTITUTES OF THE FOURTH ESTATE

Novelist Jeffrey Archer in his work The Fourth Estate made the observation: "In May 1789, Louis XVI summoned to Versailles a full meeting of the Estates General. The First Estate consisted of three hundred clergy. The Second Estate, three hundred nobles. The Third Estate, six hundred commoners. Some years later, after the French Revolution, Edmund Burke, looking up at the Press Gallery of the House of Commons, said, “Yonder sits the Fourth Estate, and they are more important than them all.”

This statement by Edmund Burke rings truer today than at any point in the history of this great nation. The news media (The Fourth Estate) has taken it upon them selves to be the judge, jury and executioner where the dissemination of news is concerned. They decide what to print and when to print it but the alarming fact is that they decide what and how to say it. In essence, they no longer print or broadcast the news, they make the news. Tabloids like the Enquirer pale in comparison to the New York Times or the San Francisco Chronicle, just to name a few. These papers are so blatantly biased in their reporting that if one didn’t know better (and many don’t) you would think that liberalism and left wing fringe politics was the only safe haven for the common man. Their pages wreak of rancid political propaganda that defies logic. Their blatant bias was never more obvious than during the presidential election. Barack Obama made some spectacular blunders and misspeaks on the campaign trail but these were never reported by the media. However, all John McCain had to do was open his mouth and they were all over him like a cheap suit. Never mind John McCain, what about Sarah Palin? I don’t believe that I have ever seen anyone so viciously attacked by the media. Not only did they attack her politically, they attacked her personally and pummeled her family as well. The redundant media mantra was her lack of inexperience. Even though she had extensive experience in government from the local (school board/mayor) to the state level (sitting Governor) she was consistently dismissed for her “lack of experience”. The media showed complete disregard for her leadership and involvement in several major energy committees that regulated West Slope oil revenue disposition. They conveniently forgot about her integrity in taking dishonest members of her own Republican party to task for malfeasance. The fascist fringe bloggers went so far as to insinuate that somehow there was an incestuous relationship between Bristol Palin and her father. Absolutely disgusting.

Now that Hilary Clinton has become the “not yet confirmed” Secretary of State Appointee in the Obama White House there is a vacant senate seat in New York and lo and behold who is the front runner? Why it’s non other than Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, a New York socialite and the daughter of John F. Kennedy. She has absolutely no experience and is totally unqualified to fill this seat however she is lauded as the second coming of Camelot by the liberal media and her qualifications, or the lack thereof, are absolutely ignored by the media. The New York Times has already started a full court press to see to it that Governor David Paterson appoints her to this powerful position. Unfortunately, the primary focus of most politicians once they are elected is to get reelected; hence Governor Paterson will undoubtedly appoint Mrs. Schlossberg to the seat. I do not question her character or her integrity as I am sure she is a fine person. Regardless, she is no more qualified to be a sitting senator than I am. What I want to know is; where is the parody? Sarah Palin was so much more qualified to be the Vice President than Mrs. Schlossberg is qualified to be a senator that there is absolutely no comparison, NONE! Yet Sarah Palin is shredded by the media and Mrs. Schlossberg is elevated to icon status overnight by the same group of attack dogs.

The point of this post is that the liberal left is being propped up on a continuous basis by the self serving media. The left makes themselves out to be the pathetic victims of society when in actuality they are the ones victimizing their own constituency. There is no balanced reporting and there is no objective news coverage because 95% of the media is literally and figuratively in bed with the left. We have become a nation torn asunder by arrogant politicians and self serving media hype. We are the greatest country in the world and we need to take our country back from those who are attempting to steal it away from us. Please stand up and be counted. Don’t allow the “Prostitutes of the Fourth Estate” to take away your sense of self worth and well being. Let not the sacrifices of our forefathers be in vain. A NATION ON THE BRINK?
On Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America. For many Americans this will be the most significant political event since “Camelot”. For many others it is the epitome of symbolism over substance.

The presidential rhetoric is over and America has elected a new leader. I have never been a fan of Barack Obama and I have always been suspect of his political background from the very beginning. The current political climate in Illinois has a sitting Governor involved in a play for pay scandal for Obama’s U.S. Senate seat. I am amazed that Barack Obama has no knowledge of the inner workings of this corrupt group of politicians and their constituents considering that he is the off spring of this corrupt political machine. You don’t go from obscure state politician to obscure U.S. Senator to President of the United States without someone fast tracking your career. His associations with Governor Blagojevich, Mayor Daley, William Ayers, Tony Rezko, Barry Diller, David Katzenberg, David Geffen, David Axelrod and George Soros among others has always been suspect but always under played by the media. I will abstain from commenting about Obama spending twenty plus years under the spiritual tutelage of hate monger Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

All this said I hope with all of my heart that my suspicions are unfounded and Barack Obama becomes the greatest president that America has ever known. Regardless of our political affiliations or our distrust of the current political climate, the fact is we are a nation in turmoil both morally and economically. We desperately need someone to lead us out of this maze of indecision and inequity. In our lifetime there has never been a president entering office at a more tumultuous time than now and no president has been handicapped with any greater expectations than Mr. Obama. People are expecting miracles from this man but unless you are laboring under some messianic delusion you know that it will take years to dig ourselves out of this hole. Wholesale changes must be made and they must be made now! This on going bail out of the “free market” has become status quo. Bail outs have become tantamount to social security. Everybody should be entitled!

All Americans need to understand one basic economic principle: THE FREE MARKET (FM) WORKS. The FM is the basis for our entire economic structure and is 100% responsible for our economic success. Politicians cannot manipulate the FM and expect it to continue functioning in a productive manner. Manipulation of the FM by politicians is parallel to putting a condom on the economy. If it can no longer function in the manner in which it was designed its output diminishes. People are so quick to affix blame that they can’t wait to throw someone or somebody under the proverbial bus. If it’s not GM, Ford or Chrysler it’s the UAW or Exxon, BP, Chevron or Standard Oil. For some reason the American public always needs a scapegoat for their unresolved problems. Many may feel that this is an over simplification of the current crisis but here is the answer. THE FREE MARKET WORKS. If you consistently make bad management decisions, you fail. If you make an inferior product or one that nobody wants, you fail. It’s really quite simple yet we can’t seem to accept this premise, especially when it affects us directly. We have become accustomed to instant gratification. We want it fixed now and we do not want any inconvenience or pain associated with the healing process. If we allowed the automakers to go bankrupt that would require them to make the appropriate filings with the bankruptcy court and after all was said and done they would come out of bankruptcy much leaner and meaner than they went in. They would again become a viable pillar of the FM. This is also applicable to the Wall St. firms who have been propped up with tax dollars. I realize that in the process many Americans would lose their jobs but the end would justify the means. Eventually we would come back stronger and more viable than ever. Unfortunately this will never happen because it is far too painful and by no means instant.

This is why I hope Barack Obama will become the greatest president in history. Anyone who does not wish this man the very best in his future endeavors is a fool. Without a strong and steady hand on the ship of state we are more than likely to sail into uncharted waters from where we may not return.
